Festive Mulled Gold Rush Cider

 

Time: 10-15 mins 

Makes: 14-16 servings

 

  • 1 blood orange or Cara Cara orange, sliced
  • 1 navel orange, sliced
  • 23 juice oranges, squeezed (or about 1 cup orange or grapefruit juice)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 whole star anise
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 gallon Weaver’s Gold Rush Apple Cider (or your favorite Weaver’s Orchard apple cider)

Instructions

  1. First, plug in an electric cook pot or crockpot (you can also heat this on the stove in a large pot).
  2. Next, slice the blood and navel oranges and add to the pot.
  3. Squeeze juice oranges using a manual or electric juicer and add fresh juice to the pot.
  4. Add whole and ground spices.
  5. Add Weaver’s Gold Rush Apple Cider or your favorite Weaver’s Apple Cider and stir. Heat on medium-low until bubbly and hot, about 5-10 minutes.
  6. When cider is piping, ladle into mugs and serve. Keep pot on simmer and serve throughout the day, adding additional cold cider as needed. Enjoy!
