Weaver’s Orchard Farm Market has announced four winners of their eighth annual photo contest, a challenge that invited customers to submit photos of their experiences on the farm throughout the harvest season.
First-prize winner Jade Mackay of Glenmoore, PA caught her young son’s excitement as he selected a pear at the orchard on a sunny day this past fall. “Our little family has been frequenting Weaver’s for three years now,” says Mackay. “Our 19-month-old son, Ian, loves to explore the orchard,” she adds, noting that the summer Read ‘n’ Pick Story Time is their favorite activity. “Weaver’s provides a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to spend quality time together.”
Megan Bermudez of Reading won second place for her photo of her son and husband apple picking.
Bethany Anselm of Pottstown and Mallory Kercher of Reading tied for third place.
Weaver’s received 62 entries in this year’s contest. All entries can be viewed at www.facebook.com/weaversorchard. Weaver’s anticipates a ninth photo contest beginning summer 2018.
Weaver’s Orchard is nestled in the beautiful hills of Berks County just 15 minutes south of Reading and features festivals, events and pick-your-own fruit as well as a farm market open all year for a complete country shopping experience.
