Wondering When Pick-Your-Own Begins?

Ermold_Strawberries

It is an exciting time of year as we are seeing the trees and plants burst forth in bloom. Each spring brings many surprises with varying weather conditions that make it a challenge to predict when our pick-your-own crops will be available. As each crop comes into bloom we are better able to predict harvest dates for our crops.

As the trees and plants continue to bloom through the next few weeks we will be publishing some approximate pick-your-own dates so you can plan your trips to the orchard. At this point we do not expect to have pick-your-own strawberries until June because of the colder temperatures this spring, but it does appear that cherries, peaches and apples will not be as delayed. So we may see those crops coming in only a few days later than normal.

Please remember to visit our website through the next month as we publish pick-your-own start dates but also remember that these dates are approximate.

I am happy to say that at this point we do not feel we have had any significant damage from the cold temperatures and we are very thankful for that. However, the crops will remain very vulnerable through the next few weeks.

We look forward to seeing you at our orchard!
