We want to thank all that shopped at Weaver’s Orchard during the final two weeks of December. As we have committed to, we are pleased to contribute 5% of our sales in our farm market from those weeks to our Samaritan’s Purse fundraiser, specifically to support the Syrian refugee work in Europe.
2015 was a good year at Weaver’s Orchard, specifically with the largest apple and cherry crops we have ever had. This past Sunday a missionary in our church who works in the slums of Mexico City shared a phrase that has been resonating with me this week: “We are blessed to be a blessing to others.” This reflects our vision here at Weaver’s Orchard: that we are called to be stewards of what God has blessed us with.
It is with this perspective that we are thankful we can help those that are less fortunate.
