Meet Anita Harrison, our new market manager:
“My husband, Richard, and I have been married for 19 years. We are the parents of 5 children, ranging in age from 11 – 18 years. I grew up in a large family with parents that loved growing vegetables and animals that provided most of our food. I started picking strawberries, tomatoes and green beans for my father’s truck patch when I was 11 years old.
“When I was 20, my father came home from a delivery and told me he thought I should start working at a local orchard. I worked for that orchard off and on for the next 27 years. In 2017 I left the orchard and started going to market in Wayne, selling deli meats and specialty cheeses from around the world for a company. This past April, I accepted the position here at Weaver’s and it feels like I’ve come back home. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you! (My hobbies are reading, drinking coffee with friends, solving word puzzles, and baking alongside my children!)”
