Sometimes summer can be a time when the schedule slows down and there’s more time for spontaneous adventures (though sometimes it can be just as busy as the rest of the year!) So if you find yourself looking for things to do with the kids this summer, we have some fun events they’ll enjoy!
Read ‘n’ Pick Storytime
Children from preschool through elementary ages will love our Read ‘n’ Pick Storytime. During this event, they hear a fruit-themed story and take a hayride into the orchard to pick a container of fruit!
Every week, we have multiple time slots available and the theme changes every week. This is your sign to text your mom’s group and for a fun playdate at the orchard! I don’t know about you, but my kids are missing their friends that they see more regularly during the school year.
I was joking with my husband the other day that most of the friends I’ve made over the last few years are ones I’ve met at places like story time, the playground and the library because my social life is fairly tied to that of my kids at the moment. So, you and your kids just might meet some new local friends at our Read ‘n’ Pick Storytime! Plus, kids love tractors and wagon rides, so that’s a fun experience they’ll enjoy!
Next week’s theme is donut peaches, and we have some other fun topics lined up too! Although online booking is required and it’s recommended to book a few days in advance, you can certainly decide spontaneously and book it on your phone! Book it here.
Peach Palooza & Pancake Breakfast
Our Peach Palooza event is mostly about picking and enjoying peaches! We’ll be open for pick-your-own peaches and other fruit. Other peach specialties will include peach sundaes, peach prosciutto sandwiches, grilled peaches, kielbasa, peach donuts and more! Join us early for a pancake breakfast from 8a.m.-11a.m. to support the Gieigertown Fire Department. The pancakes will be topped with our own homegrown peach slices!
