Strawberry-Raspberry Caramel Sauce


  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • a pinch of salt


  1. In a small sauce pan, combine the sugar with water. Place it over a medium heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until it turns into a light amber color. Gently stir the syrup every 5 minutes.
  2. Once the syrup has turned into the light amber color, add the strawberries, raspberries and honey to the pot. Simmer the mixture for another 5 minutes. Gently stir the mixture every minute.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat.
  4. Add a pinch of salt.
  5. Using a stick blender, puree the mixture.
  6. Allow it to cool before storing away.
