Pear Pizza with Goat Cheese & Caramelized Onions

  • 1 recipe pizza dough
  • 1 cup baby spinach, loosely packed
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 red onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz fresh goat cheese
  • olive oil and salt for caramelizing onions


  1. Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Sauté the onions with oil and salt on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until caramelized.
  3. Stretch out the dough on a pizza pan and poke holes with a fork or pizza docker.
  4. Bake 5-8 minutes until crust is set and just becoming golden brown in a few places.
  5. Add spinach, mozzarella, pears, caramelized onions and goat cheese.
  6. return to oven for 7-12 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is crispy.
