Peachy Barbecue Sauce

Yields about ¾ cup sauce


  • 2 teaspoons vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup sweet or white onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 peaches
  • 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place broth in a cook pan over medium heat. Cook onions in the broth until just softened, about 3-5 minutes. Add garlic and ginger and continue cooking for 3 more minutes
  2. Reduce heat to low and add remaining ingredients, simmering for about 5 minutes.
  3. Cool mixture slightly and, using an immersion blender, high-speed mixer or food processor, blend until smooth.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
